your family and help to arrange a celebration of your loved one's life by whatever means you choose.
In addition to funeral services our staff also provides the following services:
Pre Planning
There are many advantages to planning a funeral ahead of time. By
pre-planning a funeral difficult decisions will not have to be made
during a time of grieving and stress. You will be able to visit a
potential resting site and have time to decide on and compare options.
Thought can be made to whether or not cremation is an option you may
want to choose. Your wishes can be put into writing to give your family
direction when the time for the funeral comes. Our staff will help you
plan so that your family can carry out your wishes. We offer
irrevocable trusts, revocable trusts, and prepurchased burial plot item
contracts, which are setup in order to protect your assets for
the purpose of carrying out the funeral of your wishes. These
contracts are very beneficial for someone who is approaching
Title 19.
Cremation
We take great pride in offering a wide array of choices when someone
chooses cremation as a final disposition. We offer traditional
services using a ceremonial casket and replacing earth burial with
cremation, to simple services, such as direct cremation or
cremation with a memorial service in the funeral home or a
church. Cremation offers many alternatives to traditional burial and we
are fully prepared to present them to you.
Obituaries
After consultation with the family, we will prepare an obituary and
publish it in whatever local or long distant newspapers the family desires.
Veteran's Benefits
We will assist in arranging for burial space in state and national
veterans cemeteries and secure and arrange for the burial flag
and military honors. We will assist in directing you to the
Wallingford-Meriden Veteran Service Center, which will also assist you
in completing any necessary forms for financial assistance and veteran
cemetery grave markers.
Social Security
We will notify the Social Security Administration of the death. We will
explain and help you apply for any benefits you may be entitled to
from Social Security.
Death Certificates
We will complete and file the original death certificate. We will also
assist you in determining the number certified death certificates
which will be necessary for filing for life insurance, probate court
and social security benefits, as well as many other legal matters.
After Care
The loss of a loved one is very painful. We
understand that the grieving process does not end with the funeral. We
are here not only to help arrange the funeral, but to help families
