Troy Robert Glidden, 29, of Wallingford, died Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at Hartford Hospital.
Troy was born in Meriden, July 16, 1980, he was a graduate of H.C. Wilcox Technical High School in Meriden, enrolled in the plumbing curriculum, and was captain of the Tennis Team. He enjoyed fishing, golf, and in his younger years was involved in BMX Racing, where he was #1 in his class and State Champion for 2 years. Troy had a true love for life and was a very caring person.
He is survived by his loving mother Irene Glidden; his father Jonathan Klinski; his stepfather Butch Feitel; his son Bryce Overstrum; his sister Allison Glidden; his brother Jeremy Glidden; his fiancée Jessica Pulk; his paternal grandmother Loretta Glidden; his maternal great-grandmother Irene Fountain; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather Percy Glidden Jr.; his maternal great-grandfather Gaylord Dolan; his paternal grandparents Henry Klinski and Marion Klinski; and his cousin Robert J. “Bobby” Glidden.
His family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St. Ext., Friday, March 12, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Interment will be private.
