Biography
Helen Cewe DePino, 91, of Wallingford, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at Elim Park in Cheshire. She was the beloved wife of the late John DePino.
She was born in New Haven, April 20, 1919, a daughter of the late Peter and Elizabeth Zawadowski Cewe and was a parishioner of the Church of the Resurrection in Wallingford.
She is survived by her beloved children, Joseph DePino and his wife Nancy of Wallingford, and Margaret Cooke and her husband Robert of North Haven; her 6 grandchildren, Robin DePino, John DePino, Robert Cooke, Kimberly Nobrega, Heather Stacey and John Cooke; ten great-grandchildren; sister of Frances Rascati of Hamden; her two sisters-in-law Dorothy Cewe of Wallingford and Jean Cewe of East Haven; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two sisters, Marion Cadenhead and Elizabeth Pesapane; her sister-in-law Alice Cewe; and three brothers, Andy, Jake and Peter Cewe.
Her family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., Tuesday, July 20, 2010, from 8:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. when the funeral cortege will proceed to the Church of the Resurrection where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery in West Haven.
